I'm trying to move from Amish Country to Silicon Valley,
build incredible things at a start-up,
and meet others who love tech.
Analyzed the start-up landscape and researched every YC company with open frontend & fullstack jobs. I believe agent orchestration is the future, so naturally StackAI peaked my interest.

The job listing contains all the values I care about and literally every sentence and requirement matches my skillset and passion.
My resume and standard job applications tend to get overlooked (3 referrals to Google & Meta and still didn't even get a rejection, 10+ applications directly on the YC job board with no response, etc...) so I wanted to do something more to get the attention of founders/recruiters/employees at the company for the opportunity to interview.
I spent a few weeks building this and found a balance between copying every small detail while adding my own touch and sharing my work experience & skills.

After "finishing" this project, I scoured the web for email addresses for the founders and recruiters. I was able to find email addresses for both founders and the head of talent. This was very exciting. During this time the company and founders were posting on linkedin and social media about hiring.
I submitted a standard application, cold emailed each founder and the head of staff twice, but didn't receive any response. I looked for other employees and found 4 people who seemed like very great co-workers, all passionate about their craft and do some kind of art. I debated contacting these people and decided not to because the founders and head of recruitment did not respond.
I am turning the flowchart/orchestration aspect into a separate product, and created an npx registry to add the "sidebar-hover" variant to the shadcn component library.
